Meet the Author

Discover the creative mind behind Veridion - The Silence of Veridion and his fascinating literary journey.

About the Author

Step into the universe of Beyond the Veil and meet Rafael F.C. — the mind behind The Silence of Veridion, a sweeping saga of science fiction, symbolism, and hope.

At 39, Rafael turned one of the most challenging moments of his life into a story worth telling. A father of two young children and living with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy, he was forced to take medical leave from his job after suffering two spinal fractures in an accident. During this forced pause, imagination found its voice — and silence became narrative.

With no formal background in writing or literature, Rafael began crafting Veridion through instinct, vision, and a unique creative partnership with artificial intelligence. What emerged was not just a science fiction universe, but a work of heart — a story about isolation, reconnection, and the sacred thread that links us all.

The Silence of Veridion is the first book in a saga that blends speculative fiction with spiritual depth, cinematic storytelling, and philosophical undertones. Through it, Rafael invites readers to journey across worlds — and to confront the silence that separates them.

✦ A Vision Beyond the Page

Rafael doesn’t write just to tell a story — he writes to reconnect worlds.
His goal is to share The Veridion Saga with readers across the globe and see it adapted into other media formats such as series or film. He is currently seeking publishers, agents, and creative partners who see the same universal potential in this story — and who want to be part of the journey.

Open Letter – The Origin of the Veridion Saga

## My Story, My Image, My Creation

I never wanted to just tell a story. When I conceived Saga, my desire was to transform my creativity into something that could be taken to the world, something that could connect people with deep themes, explore free will and challenge perceptions about reality and power. This saga was born from my passion for narrative and the need to build worlds that dialogue with our own society, but that also transcend time and space.

Unlike what many may think, my saga is not directly inspired by literary classics such as Dune or Foundation. Of course, science fiction has its pillars, but my main influence was Star Wars — not only for its rich universe, but for the emotional and human impact of the stories. However, more than any external reference, Saga de Veridion emerged from two great driving forces in my life:

## My Faith and My Questioning of the Universe

I do not follow a specific religion, but I deeply believe in God and a Creator, in the existence of a greater force that guides humanity's journey. I have always been fascinated by the stars, by the immensity of the cosmos and by the great question that has haunted us for centuries: are we really alone? If there are other civilizations, why have we never been able to make contact?

It was from this concern that the Veil was born — a cosmic barrier that separates worlds and prevents connections between civilizations. Maybe this is how it is in real life, maybe there is something that isolates us from the rest of the universe. Saga de Veridion is my way of questioning this invisible barrier, exploring the concept of isolation and making us think about who we really are and how far we can go.

## The Influence of Today’s World – Censorship and Control

In addition to the universe and the Creator, another factor that has driven me is our own reality. We live in a time where censorship, control, and manipulation take on ever more subtle forms. What we see, what we believe, what we can question—everything seems carefully shaped.

Aetherion, the dreamless planet in Shadows of the Veil, represents the institutionalized fear of imagination, a society where thinking freely is an act of resistance. This is a metaphor for what we face every day, and my intention is not just to tell a story, but to question who controls our reality and how we can escape this cycle.

## The Role of Artificial Intelligence in My Writing

With the advancements in technology, many question the role of AI in the creative process. For me, AI does not replace my imagination—it helps me transform abstract ideas into concrete structure, to organize a universe as vast as the one I am creating.

AI is like a brainstorming tool: I know what I want to tell and how, but I use technology to test concepts, expand details, and refine my narrative. Every decision, every line, every character that makes up the Veridion Saga comes from me — AI just helps me materialize what already exists in my mind.

## Why Does This Story Matter?

The world I created is not just an adventure, but a reflection of the challenges we face. In the midst of all this, characters struggle to find identity in a universe that tries to silence them, something that many can relate to in real life.

My intention with Veridion Saga is not just to tell a story, but to build a legacy within science fiction, something that dialogues with the best works of the genre without losing its own identity.

If you've made it this far, I invite you to explore this universe with me. Read, question, delve into the dilemmas of the saga, and help me expand this journey. Because stories are not just written words—they are portals to something bigger. And the Veridion Saga still has much to reveal.
