My inspiration in Star Wars

I'm Rafael, author of the science fiction saga Beyond the Veil. Like many, I grew up inspired Star Wars - the hero's journey, the dilemmas of the force, the power of love and resistance. But I wanted to do something new. I took these influences and mixed them with cosmic philosophy, alien fauna based in Brazil and themes likes as stellar reincarnation, cosmic silence and spiritual inheritance. M y protagonist, Elara, follows a heroine's arc similar to Luke's. Throughout the work, she will awaken to the use of Ether, a living energy created by the creator that connects the world - and that, like the force, can be corrupted and used for evil. Her greatest enemy? Toren, a dark and manipulative presence that echoes what Palpatine represents, but with an even more disturbing purpose: to keep the universe silent.
